Alphabet Inc. reported better-than-expected revenue but said 2025 capital expenditures will be higher than previously forecast, intensifying pressure on the company to justify the investments it is making to keep up in the AI race.
Shares slipped about 2.8% in late trading after the search giant said capital expenditures would be $85 billion, compared to the $75 billion the company guided earlier this year.
